Features & Help

WhichCourt is a tournament companion for club volleyball. Find teams, track rankings, scout opponents, and follow along on tournament day — all powered by live AES data.

Finding Teams

There are two ways to find a team. Use whichever is faster for you.

Option A — Global Team Search

1
From the home page or the Browse > Teams tab, type a team name (e.g. "Evolution", "Mavericks").
2
Optionally filter by gender. The search checks every age group automatically.
3
Click any result to open that team’s Season Profile.

Option B — Event-Based Search

1
Go to Browse > Events tab. Filter by region, age group, or name to find a tournament.
2
Click an event, then search for a team within that event.
3
Choose Event Results to see that tournament’s matches, or Season Profile for the full cross-tournament view.

Tip: Click a club name in the search results to filter teams by that club.

Season Profile

Every team has a season profile that aggregates data across all tournaments the team has entered this season.

What you’ll see:

  • Overall record and national/regional ranking
  • Coaching staff and player roster with jersey numbers
  • Season trend chart — a visual W-L bar chart across tournaments
  • Set analysis — average win/loss margins, deciding-set record, close games
  • Tournament cards with links to event results, standings, and tournament day view
  • Full match history from every tournament

Tip: You can reach a team’s season profile from almost anywhere — look for the icon next to team names in standings tables.

Favorites & Dashboard

Star teams you want to track. Favorites are saved locally in your browser.

1
Open any team’s season profile and click the star button next to the team name.
2
Your starred teams appear on the home page for quick access.
3
Visit the My Teams page to see all your teams in one view — including their current ranking, record, and recent form (last 5 matches shown as W/L indicators).

National Rankings

The Rankings page shows the official USAV national rankings.

  • Filter by gender, age group, season, and region
  • Search by team or club name to find specific teams
  • Click a team name to open their season profile
  • Click a club name to see all of that club’s teams
  • Regional filtering re-sorts by regional rank so you can see how teams stack up locally

Tournament Day

The tournament day view is purpose-built for parents at a tournament. It shows everything you need in one place.

How to get there:

1
Open your team’s season profile (or find them via search).
2
On any active tournament card, click the green Tournament Day link.
3
You can also reach it from the event team page (the Tournament Day link appears when the event is still active).

What you’ll see:

  • Next Match card — opponent name, court number, scheduled time, and a countdown timer
  • Court & video — court shown as a badge; tap the icon for live stream links when available
  • Pool standings with rankings — every team in your pool shows their national and regional rank so you can instantly see how tough the pool is
  • Today’s schedule — completed matches with scores plus upcoming matches with times
  • Full tournament results from earlier days

Division Standings

Each division within an event has a standings page that aggregates pool play and bracket results.

1
Open an event, then click a division name.
2
The table shows W-L record, win %, sets, and point ratio for every team. Click any team name for their event results.
3
Use the icon to jump to a team’s season profile, or click a club name to see the full club page.

Head-to-Head

View head-to-head history between two teams across all common tournaments.

1
Navigate to Head-to-Head from the nav bar (or the home page).
2
Search for and select Team A and Team B using the team picker. You can search by team name, club, or team code.
3
Click Head-to-Head to see every match they’ve played against each other, with set scores and overall record.

Tip: In match rows throughout the app, you may see small “H2H: 2-1” badges showing the historical record between two teams.

Club Profiles

See all of a club’s teams in one place, grouped by age group with rankings and records.

1
Click any club name in the rankings table, standings page, or team profile.
2
Teams are organized by division (e.g. Girls 14U, Boys 16U) and sorted by national rank.
3
Click any team to jump to their season profile.

Analytics

The season profile includes two analytics sections that appear automatically once a team has enough match data:

Season Trend

A bar chart showing cumulative wins and losses across tournaments. Green bars are wins, red are losses. Hover over a bar to see the tournament name and running record.

Set Analysis

Detailed breakdown of set-level performance: average win/loss margins, deciding-set record, close wins/losses (within 2 points), and blowout wins (10+ points). This tells you how a team performs under pressure.

Opponent Scouting

On tournament day, tap any upcoming opponent to expand a scouting card with key intel.

  • National & regional ranking so you know where they stand
  • Season record and win percentage
  • Last 5 matches with opponents and set scores
  • Location — city and state shown next to opponent names when available

Scouting data loads on demand when you expand the card, so it’s always fresh.

Sharing Links

Share any page with other parents or coaches using the share button in the top-right corner.

  • Works on season profiles, tournament day, standings, head-to-head, and club pages
  • On mobile, uses your device’s native share sheet (iMessage, WhatsApp, etc.)
  • On desktop, copies the link to your clipboard
  • Shared links include a rich preview card with team stats when pasted into iMessage, Slack, or social media

Staying Current

Data updates automatically when you load or revisit a page. During a tournament, a staleness indicator shows how fresh your data is.

  • Refresh pill — shows how long ago data was last loaded. Tap it to refresh instantly. It changes color the longer you wait.
  • Refresh button — tap the refresh icon in the nav bar to reload the page anytime.
  • Match status badges — completed, in progress, and upcoming matches are clearly labeled so you always know what’s current.

Tip: Keep the tournament day page open on your phone during a tournament and tap the refresh pill between matches to see updated scores.

  • 3.Tournament Day is your best friend on game day. It shows the next match, court, opponent rankings, and pool standings all in one view.
  • 4.Dark/light mode — toggle the theme using the sun/moon button in the top right of the nav bar.
  • 5.Data refreshes automatically. Rankings update every 10 minutes, event data every 5 minutes. Refresh the page during a tournament for the latest scores.
